One of my favourite things about free software is that you get logs, and meaningful error outputs.
That is why free software is more user friendly, and more approachable than proprietary software, despite the fact that command line interfaces are scary for the uninitiated.
There are millions of people out there who usually have had the same issue, and you can always ask for help online, and get an open answer.
/That/ is the power, and the user-friendliness of free software. Your computer is transparent to you, and is ready for you to inspect it and engage with it.
